STRUCTURED GAMES:
Outdoor Game 1

Outdoor Game 2:  Awesome Soccer:
Use a balloon-filled garbage bag as a soccer bag.  Keep extra garbage bags with balloons.   Rules:  Fielders may not kick the soccer ball.  Players may use their hands to hit or throw the ball to their team players.  fielders receive a penalty when they kick the ball.  The goalie may not use his hands but may try to defend the goal by using his body or feet.   Lesson:  talk to the camper s about the awesome God who created us with the ability to enjoy life.  He also gave us the intelligence to come up with games like soccer that help us enjoy life and have fun.

Outdoor Game 3:   Awesome Relay:
Line up the players in teams.  Hand each player a toothpick.  Each team is to pas the four objects from one end of the line to the other by using only the toothpicks to transfer the objects.  The first team to complete the relay wins.

 Game 4:  Blindfold Artist
Each team selects its best artist, who will be given a marker and blindfolded.  they will draw as their teammates describe the following:

  1. Draw a church with a steeple.
  2. A tree on the right hand side of the church.
  3. A preacher standing in the doorway of the church.
  4. Put a cross on top of the steeple.
  5. Draw a walkway to the church.
  6. On the left-hand side of the church, draw a playground swing and slide.
  7. Put fluffy clouds int he sky.
  8. Draw a child in the swing.
  9. Draw a bird in the tree.
  10. Draw a person shaking hands with the preacher.
Now compare pictures.  Ask other coaches to judge the artists work to determine a winner.

Orientation Game:   Object of the game is to find your group.  This is good for the opening session where campers are grouped with their teams.   Mix the cards up before giving each player a card.  Instruct the players not to look at their cards until the whistle blows.   Tell the players to begin acting like the animal on the card and making that animal's sounds.  As they do so, they move around the playing area looking for another player making the same sound or doing the same motion.   Lesson: God is an awesome God and he made different animals.
